We had a baby boy on December 7th and I was busy with taking care of my wife and kid for the last couple of months. Lest, GMAT was on my mind some of the time, only thing I could do in between was to read paper (WSJ) and suffice my internal thought "that I didn't Quit GMAT". Anyways as promised to myself, here is a restart. Couple of things I have decided were:
1. Take a long term approach to GMAT than a short term one.
2. Learn the basics and fundamentals of Math/Verbal; For example in Verbal, i need to improve my comprehension levels and reading habits (ability to read varied material and develop internal structures on several topics), same with Math (Know the basics really well and then practice lots of questions on topics.
3. Make a six day plan each week and stick to it.
4. Don't stress out myself, preparation needs to be relaxed and I need to multiply each task time by 2.
The reason why I am taking GMAT a long term approach is that I am planning to do a part-time MBA and I haven't decided when I am going to do it. I still need to find a real reason why I need an MBA and how it would fit with my future goals. Since GMAT will be valid for 5 years from now, so taking this pre-requisite off my list would give me some bandwidth to think what I can do.
Lest, today I am going to publish one more post on what math topics I am going to plan for the next coming couple of months. Tomorrow I am going to post on my verbal strategy. Adios!!
